If you have 0.1.6 or 0.1.7, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.
What's new
- No more black screens while walking around. When the game moves the Slayer itself (a glory kill, a
cutscene, or you using the move stick), room-scale cannot walk him after you, so real steps you took then
went past the 60 cm lean limit and faded the view to black. Now the view simply rides along with the Slayer in
those moments. Thanks to Dedo 2000 (DamicsITA) for the report and the video from a whole-house playthrough. - Never stuck in the dark. If the view stays black for a second and a half (your head in a door, a step the
Slayer could not follow), you are moved back onto your body and can see again. - Fade in walls (Play tab, on by default): untick it to turn the fade to black off completely, for players
who walk a lot in a large space. - Also in 0.1.7, if you skipped it: the aim dot matches your shots at long range, and the bHaptics Flame Belch
and equipment launcher pulse your left shoulder.
Known issues
The full list is in
KNOWN-ISSUES. The
game's button prompts still name keyboard keys, and climbing a wall still turns with the stick only (both
being worked on). If the game's video menu ever shows DLSS as Off after you change DLSS in the launcher,
please send an Export report.
