The loading screen's tips now name your grips and the grips flip through them, and VR starts about 3 seconds
sooner at startup.

f5584a7261df454c2198b2e866a59f42cf39f04d53d91bf1ec4fa5cc87a94ae5 - VirusTotal: scan report (0 of 67 engines flag it; the mod's DLL and the launcher alone are 0 of 71 each), and Windows Defender finds nothing.
If you have 0.1.6 or later, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.
This build was launch-tested on the Steam version (in a level) and the Game Pass version (up to the main menu, where
the Game Pass log shows the light fix, the profile hooks, the multiplayer guard and this build's tips-bar hooks switched on), on my test PC with the OpenXR simulator.
None of the changes below have been played in a headset yet.
Playing on a lower-end PC? I'd love to hear how it runs:
tell me your card, settings and how it played.
What's new
- The grips flip the loading screen's tips. The tips bar used to read "[Q] PREVIOUS | [E] NEXT" and nothing
on a controller changed the tip. Now it reads "[LG] PREVIOUS | [RG] NEXT", and the left grip goes to the
previous tip, the right grip to the next. This only works on the loading screen, not once you're playing. If
you're still holding a grip when the loading screen comes up (a weapon mod held through the load), let go of it
once first, then the next squeeze counts. On the Game Pass version the hooks install, but I haven't seen the bar there. - VR starts about 3 seconds sooner (on my test PC). When the game starts, the mod looks for every spot in the
game it hooks before it starts VR. That search is faster now: the picture showed up in VR 10.2 s after the mod
loaded instead of 13.1 s. It finds the same 169 spots as before on the Steam version; on Game Pass I compared
the search results against the game's files.
Known issues
- Some prompts still show keyboard keys, for example the page arrows on the Rewards tab after a mission
("A 1/2 D"). Point at an arrow and pull the trigger instead. - Sights are lined up on five guns so far; the rest can point a little off. Go by the Aim dot.
- The Precision Bolt's scope sits about 3 degrees off your aim, because the Heavy Cannon is lined up for its
iron sights. - With head aim there's no crosshair or aim mark while the Precision Bolt is zoomed in. Shots go to the middle
of your view. On the Game Pass version head aim may still show the scope's ring. - The gun doesn't sit exactly in your hand on every weapon; some guns sit a little off.
- Parallel Eye Rendering is still highly experimental and off by default. The full list is under "Parallel Eye
Rendering" in KNOWN-ISSUES.
