EternalVR v0.1.39 (alpha)
A small one: the thumb-rest wheel now logs what each rest's touch sensor is doing, so the "rest doesn't always
register" reports have something to go on, and there's an experimental fix (off by default) for the Fortress of
Doom stairs going dark and bright as you move.

and Windows Defender finds nothing.
If you have 0.1.6 or later, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.
What's new
- Thumb-rest wheel: if a rest sometimes doesn't register for you, the log now shows what each rest's touch
sensor did every 10 seconds (touches too short to count, gaps, quick re-touches, and landings with the other
stick already pushed), and how far the stick went for each pick. Nothing changes in how the wheel behaves. If
you run into it, an Export report... after the session would help a lot. - The steps up to the dais in the Fortress of Doom could switch between dark and lit depending on where you
stood. That's the game's own light culling dropping a light from some spots. An experimental fix is in this
build, off by default; I'll turn it on once it's been tried in a headset. - Starting the launcher from the command line no longer turns Parallel Eye Rendering on from a saved setting
unlessETERNALVR_SHOW_PARALLEL_EYES=1is set, the same as the launcher window. - If your graphics driver refuses to set up the images shared with the headset one way, the mod now tries
again a simpler way. - The release files no longer carry my build folder paths in their debug info.
Known issues
- Parallel Eye Rendering: some reflections can show in one eye only, and it needs more video memory than the
normal renderer. The full list is under "Parallel Eye Rendering" in KNOWN-ISSUES. - Nothing should look different by default in this release; the changes were tested on my test PC, not yet in a
headset. If Quest Link, Air Link, SteamVR or Windows Mixed Reality show anything new compared to 0.1.38,
please tell me. - Edit controls... can take several seconds to open and shows "Not Responding" first. It does open; a fix is
coming.
The full list is in
KNOWN-ISSUES.
