If you have 0.1.6 or later, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.
What's new
- Weapon switching from the thumb rest (Quest and Rift controllers): rest one thumb on its thumb rest and push
the other stick toward a weapon. It's off by default while it gets more testing; turn it on with
Thumb-rest wheel on the Play tab. The combination that feels best so far is While touched with
Thumb-rest picks: Weapon by direction: flick the stick toward a direction and that weapon slot is picked
as the stick springs back. The other options work but are slower; tell me what you think of them. - bHaptics: the rune shock now plays twice as long (about 4 s), so it lasts through the Slayer's shock
animation. Thanks thet0x1n (#25). - Tracking: if your head or a hand position jumps further than it could have moved, the mod keeps the last good
position instead of jumping, and a field of view no headset has is refused. - If the VR runtime fails to start the session, the mod tries again a few times before giving up.
- If a glory kill's fade or flat screen ever gets stuck, the mod lets go of it after 10 seconds.
Known issues
- Weapon by direction uses up = slot 1, then clockwise to slot 8, which may not match the game's own wheel. A
line such asweapon_directions = up=1,right=3,left=7in launcher.ini changes it. - Edit controls... can take several seconds to open and shows "Not Responding" first. It does open; a fix is
coming.
