EternalVR v0.1.35 (alpha)

Quick fix for 0.1.34: with the new particle sync on, the right eye drew snow, leaves, flames and some other effects
wrong on some levels, so it's off again for now.

Download

  • EternalVR-alpha-0.1.35-8c960ba.zip (below)
  • SHA-256: 85d7ef16375741813120f466470c763c0dd4ada68762513a430d6f02a181a2b8
  • VirusTotal: scan report. One scanner (DeepInstinct) flags the mod DLL. It has flagged older builds on and off
too, and Windows Defender finds nothing in it.

If you have 0.1.6 or later, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.

What's new

  • The particle sync from 0.1.34 is off by default. In 0.1.34 the right eye drew snow, leaves, flames and some ice
effects as squares or a grid of tiles on some levels (Cultist Base for example). Thanks sdd25 and Immolation for
the screenshots. Particles now work like they did in 0.1.33: the left eye shows them a frame late, which you
mostly notice on explosions and lightning. I'll turn the sync back on once I know what's going on and it's
tested in snow. If you want to try it anyway, ETERNALVR_STEREO_FX_SYNC=1 turns it on.

Everything else from 0.1.34 stays: the room-scale freeze fix, reflections and ambient occlusion following your game
settings, and the "Screen-space reflections" setting.

Known issues

Parallel Eye Rendering (both eyes rendered at once) is not in this release's launcher yet: it is getting close,
but it still has bugs to fix first.
