Unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher settings carry
over.
What's new
- Piloting the Revenant in Cultist Base (#2).
The move stick goes where you face, stick turning is smooth, and the Revenant aims where your weapon
hand points (where you look, with head aim), so its arms and rocket launchers follow the controller.
Fire, rocket barrage (weapon mod), afterburner (dash) and the jetpack (jump) are on your usual buttons. - Game Pass and Microsoft Store. The launcher finds that version (1.0.56.0) in the XboxGames folder
of any drive and starts it without Steam. With both versions installed it uses the Steam one unless you
choose the other one'sContentfolder on the Advanced tab. Your Game Pass saves are copied before
each session and never written back. It has had one test so far; please report how it goes. - Texture streaming: Only what you see (Play tab, on by default): the game's texture streamer caches
only what the current view needs, which frees processor time. Textures can sharpen a moment late. - Processor saver (Play tab, experimental, all off by default): one checkbox per saving (your own
shadow, near sun shadows, model detail, decal distance, distant shadows and lights), for slower
processors. - Alternate eyes (Advanced tab, experimental, off by default): one eye per game tick when the
processor cannot keep up, with an Auto setting that does it only when the processor falls behind the
headset. - A newer DLSS (Advanced tab, experimental): DLSS can run with a newer
nvngx_dlss.dllyou download
yourself, with a render preset for both eyes. The game's own video menu now shows the DLSS setting that
is running in VR. - The controls editor ("Edit controls..." on the Play tab) lists every button of your controllers and
refuses controls the game could not use. Each VR settings profile keeps its own controls, and profiles
have a Save button. - After a session the launcher says how fast the game really drew, next to the headset's own rate.
- Experimental, off by default: the ammo on the gun in your weapon hand ("Health and ammo: On your
weapon"), throwing a grenade with the off hand and an overhead swing for the Crucible (Gestures), and
picking on the weapon wheel by pointing with your hand.
Known issues
Still open, among others (the full list is in
KNOWN-ISSUES):
in Doom Hunter Base some doors and a ladder open only when you look at them (point your weapon hand at
them for a moment; a fix is in progress), the game's button prompts still name keyboard keys, and on the
Game Pass version's first start the Bethesda.net login is easier to do once without VR. Please tell us
anywhere you get stuck.
