EternalVR v0.1.10 (alpha)

DLSS is now in one place on the Play tab, with NVIDIA's newest DLSS one click away, plus a sharpening setting.

If you have 0.1.6 or later, the launcher offers this update by itself (or use "Check now" on the Checks and log
tab). Otherwise unzip over the old folder or anywhere new, and run EternalVR.Launcher.exe. Your launcher
settings carry over.

What's new

  • One DLSS group on the Play tab. Anti-aliasing is now TAA, DLSS or Off. Pick DLSS and the DLSS group
below it holds the quality, the version and the preset, with a line that says exactly what will run in the
headset, for example "DLSS 310.9.1, preset K, Quality, both eyes". The DLSS settings on the Advanced tab are
    gone.
  • NVIDIA's newest DLSS by default. The version now defaults to NVIDIA's newest (310.9.1). Click
Download once: the launcher fetches it straight from NVIDIA's GitHub after you accept NVIDIA's license.
Until you do, the game's own DLSS 2.3 runs, as before. The game's own and a file of your own are still there
    if you prefer them.
  • Preset K by default with the newer DLSS, the sharpest picture in players' reports.
"Automatic" (NVIDIA's pick) is still in the list. If you had left the preset at its default, it is now K; a
    preset you picked stays.
  • Sharpening (Play tab, Picture): the game's own sharpening filter, now settable for VR: Off, Low, Medium
or High, or the game's setting (the default, which keeps whatever you use in the flat game). It works with
any anti-aliasing, and your flat game's setting is left as it was. With the newer DLSS it is the only
sharpening, since NVIDIA removed DLSS's own.
  • A small Support EternalVR on Ko-fi link in the launcher's header.

Known issues

The full list is in
KNOWN-ISSUES. The
game's button prompts still name keyboard keys, and climbing a wall still turns with the stick only (both
being worked on).
