This is a major release that introduces a full UI and UX redesign across the app, along with multi-wallet support that allows you to manage multiple wallets seamlessly. Multi-wallet is designed to work in tandem with the SamRock Protocol in BTCPay Server, enabling merchants to set it up easily. We’ve improved the readability of addresses, IDs, and invoices with a new font and color-coded numerals, and introduced the Satspace Standard for Bitcoin amounts. The redesign includes a new home screen with a price chart, clearer transaction details, improved send and receive flows, support for seven new languages, and fixes a wide range of bugs to make AQUA faster and more reliable than ever.
New Features:
- Updated, modernized, and improved UI/UX.
- Added a new Bitcoin price chart.
- Added multi-wallet support and the ability to name wallets to use them with the SamRock Protocol in BTCPay Server.
- Added total fiat-denominated balances for each wallet.
- Improved UX for selecting different fiat currencies.
- Added the Satspace Standard BTC and L-BTC amounts.
- Added region specific formatting for fiat currencies (e.g., 1,21 for Euros).
- Added a “Recipient gets” field to transaction details to show the exact amount a recipient received.
- Added a “Value at Time” field to transaction details to show the fiat value at time of sending.
- Added three new regions: Antarctica, Luna, and Mars.
- Added labels to L-BTC fee transactions for stablecoin sends (for example, sending USDt will populate a transaction labeled “USDt Fee” in your L-BTC history).
- Added support for German, Italian, French, Polish, Serbian, Catalan and Albanian languages.
Integrations:
- Added new MoneyBadger QR patterns.
- Added Proof of Payment links for successful Boltz swaps.
- The minimum amount you can receive for Lightning swaps via Boltz was reduced from 1,000 Sats to 100 Sats. This value is also dynamic now, so when Boltz decreases it, AQUA fetches the latest value.
- Added a liquidity warning if SideSwap has low liquidity.
- USDt swap transactions now have icons with the network logo in the transaction history and transaction details pages.
- Fees for USDt swaps are now paid by the sender rather than the receiver (e.g., if you send someone 100 USDt, you pay the fees and they will receive exactly 100 USDt).
- Users are now forced to confirm potentially ambiguous USDt addresses (e.g., Ethereum vs. Polygon).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where you could not send two non-Liquid USDt transactions in a row.
- Fixed various issues in transaction and RBF flows.
- Fees are now displayed correctly for swaps.
Known Issues:
- Support for paying USDt transaction fees with USDt has been temporarily removed when sending Max Amount and when sending USDt on networks other than Liquid.
- Pending states only display approximate fees. Please wait till a transaction is confirmed for the exact fees and amounts.
- VND and TRY currencies may face intermittent issues.
- Some transactions or swaps may require a pull-down refresh or app restart to update as completed.
