MiSTer Companion v8.6.0
New: Arcade ROM Checker
Added a new entry in the Tools tab to help identify the MAME ROM ZIPs required by your MRA files.
- Scan MRAs from your connected MiSTer, offline SD card, or a local folder.
- View required ZIP filenames and the MRAs that reference them, with duplicate requirements grouped together.
- Optionally check your MAME folder for present and missing ZIPs.
- Optionally find and copy missing ZIPs from a local MAME collection on your computer.
- Support for alternative ZIP filenames listed in MRAs.
- Search and filter results, copy filenames to the clipboard, or export a text list.
- Progress reporting with scan counts, indexing activity, and byte-based copy progress.
Note: ROM checks verify ZIP filenames only, not archive contents or CRCs. Checking and copying are optional—you can simply scan MRAs to get the required filenames.
