MiSTer Companion v5.2.0 Released

MiSTer Companion v5.2.0 introduces the new Theme Downloader.

The Theme Downloader makes it possible to browse, preview, install, and uninstall themes directly from inside MiSTer Companion. Themes include preview screenshots, author information, and can be filtered between Official and Community themes.

The Theme Downloader is powered by the Companion Themes GitHub repository:

Users can submit their own custom themes to this repository through a pull request. Once accepted, they will be added as Community themes and become available through the Theme Downloader.

Changes

• Added the new Theme Downloader to the Theme Picker.
• Added preview screenshots for downloadable themes.
• Added larger preview support by clicking a screenshot.
• Added Official / Community filtering.
• Added sorting by name and date added.
• Added install and uninstall support for downloaded themes.
• Existing local themes are detected and marked as installed.
• After installing a theme, MiSTer Companion can now ask whether to apply it immediately.

Note

Patreon-exclusive themes are not included in the Theme Downloader and remain available separately for Patreon members.
