• New Background colour setting per preset. Draws a solid fill behind the top and bottom overlay regions, edge to edge across the screen. Useful for keeping bookends text readable on illustrated EPUBs, comics, or pages with dense layout near the screen edges.
• The Background colour picker has a White shortcut alongside Default (off). Default leaves the page showing through, White paints solid white pixels to mask whatever is beneath the bookends.
