Update checker is now opt-in
- Disabled by default — no network requests unless you enable it
- New "Notify on wake when update available" toggle in Settings
- When enabled, checks on wake from sleep and book open (throttled to once per hour)
- Shows a brief notification toast when an update is found
- Manual "Check for updates" button still works regardless of the toggle
