• Settings stored in dedicated file — all bookends settings now live in settings/bookends.lua instead of the global settings.reader.lua. This keeps the global file smaller and gives bookends settings their own automatic .old backup via KOReader's LuaSettings. Existing settings are migrated automatically on first launch — no action required.
