🔧 Key Fixes in this update:
YAML Indentation Corruption: Identified a regression in bridge_health.py where updating Hermes configuration (like context_length) would strip indentation, corrupting the config.yaml file. This was the primary reason the bridge/gateway would fail to start on fresh installs.
Synchronized Installer Pipe: Fixed a mismatch between install.sh and setup.py that caused custom memory limits to be ignored or incorrectly applied during the setup process.
UTF-8 Global Safety: Enforced explicit UTF-8 decoding across all scripts to prevent locale-related crashes on different Linux distributions.
Secure Hook Injection: Hook commands are now wrapped in double quotes to ensure valid YAML syntax across all environments.
🧪 Testing Required
This version has been through an exhaustive audit for hardcoded paths and encoding inconsistencies. However, further testing on different environments (KDE, ARM64, WSL2, etc.) is highly recommended to confirm that the bridge patching is now 100% stable.
