OxideTerm 2.0.8 unifies application proxy routing, strengthens SSH forwarding and
SFTP transfer ownership, and makes network configuration easier to understand.
✨ Highlights
- Reorganized Network & Proxy settings around one reusable upstream proxy and explicit routing choices for SSH connections, application requests, and update checks.
- Added system, direct, and shared-proxy routing for application HTTP traffic, covering OxideSens, cloud sync, plugin services, and runtime downloads.
🛠️ Fixes
- Preserved explicitly requested remote-forwarding ports when SSH servers return an empty allocation field, while continuing to use server-assigned ports for dynamic allocation.
- Kept local, dynamic, and remote forwarding work owned by their rules so stopping a forward also cancels its listeners, handshakes, bridges, and server registration cleanly.
- Corrected remote-forward health checks to validate the local target and restored uploads to virtual SFTP gateways that reject temporary sibling files.
- Preserved active SFTP transfer ownership across session replacement and reconnects, including paused, cancelled, and resumable transfer state.
- Corrected the disabled OxideSens prompt so it points to Settings → OxideSens instead of the former AI settings label.
🧰 Release Maintenance
- Moved proxy policy, settings conversion, credential hydration, and HTTP client construction into a dedicated network-proxy crate with focused security and compatibility tests.
- Moved local directory, project probing, and plugin-settings persistence rules out of the GPUI application layer into their owning domain crates.
- Added end-to-end SSH forwarding coverage for explicit remote ports and shutdown behavior.
