What's Changed
This beta can follow the system proxy, watch the clipboard in the background and drag finished files out to other apps. It cuts the CPU the window uses while downloading, lets a failed task retry from a new link, and bundles Aria2 Next 3.0.10.
✨ New Features
- Follow the system proxy — the new "System" proxy source uses the proxy the OS names when each download starts, and for the app's own requests. When the browser keeps a download because the engine could not reach it, a notification says why (#784)
- Background clipboard watching — optional and off by default: links copied in other apps open the add window right away (#793, #797)
- Drag files out — finished task cards drag their files to other apps and folders (#785)
- Remove missing records — a batch action removes only the records whose files no longer exist (#786)
- Quit from the floating window — its context menu has Quit (#794)
🛠 Improvements
- Lower CPU while downloading — progress bars animate on the compositor instead of re-laying out the window every frame, and animations pause while the window is hidden or minimized (#799, #791)
- Retry from a new link — a failed task's Options page shows its source URL again, so it can retry from a replacement link and keep the data already received (#548, #769, #800)
- Subfolders in aria2 input —
out=dir/namesaves under that folder; absolute paths,..and invalid names are refused with the offending value shown (#780) - Proxy import — bypass rules the engine cannot use are skipped with an explanatory notice instead of a warning (#782)
- Linux GPU warning — the GPU acceleration switch warns on the NVIDIA proprietary driver, which freezes WebKitGTK, and diagnostics include the driver (#795)
- Aria2 Next 3.0.10 — tracker tiers stay in order, unsupported trackers are skipped, and servers that rotate entity tags keep multiple connections
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed a browser handoff that failed on the original link not trying the URL the browser landed on, for example after a 403 (#790)
- Fixed switching task list tabs briefly showing the previous tab's cards (#781)
- Fixed Linux portable builds hiding the installed app's menu entry when registering link handlers (rayburst-connect#106)
