What's Changed
This beta adds filename previews and completed-file renaming, repairs browser activation and download confirmations, and bundles Aria2 Next 2.8.3 for all six desktop targets.
✨ New Features
- Preview and edit filenames before downloading, with an optional remote filename lookup.
- Rename completed single-file downloads from task details, with collision protection and recoverable history updates.
- Choose one browser-download behavior: confirm first, download in the background, or show Rayburst.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Prevent same-name downloads from sharing an output or adopting another task's partial file. Resume now requires matching task recovery data.
- Reject path separators, traversal and invalid characters in explicit filenames.
- Preserve incoming links and confirmation IDs while editing a download dialog; cancel unresolved requests when the dialog closes.
- Launch the installed Windows app independently of the browser's native-host process lifetime.
- Register Windows file and public protocol handlers as candidates without automatically replacing defaults. Keep default-app settings accessible.
- Use WebKitGTK's native rendering defaults on Linux, with an explicit software-rendering fallback.
- Keep update metadata and verified package bytes together through download and installation. Preserve downloaded packages after installation failures and handle cancellation before retrying.
🛠 Improvements
- Refresh the product website with interactive previews and updated translations.
