What's Changed

This beta improves task recovery, file ownership and browser handoff diagnostics, and bundles Aria2 Next 2.8.2 for all six desktop targets. It also adds optional save-location memory and completes the light and dark theme integration.

✨ New Features

• Remember save location: optionally reuse the last directory explicitly chosen for a successful submission. Browser submissions use the same preference without changing it. The setting is off by default; unavailable directories are reported instead of silently replaced.
• HTTP range limit: configure the maximum size of each HTTP range request in Download settings. 0 keeps automatic sizing; a value such as 5M accommodates servers with request-size limits. Media segments, SFTP and torrent piece sizes are unaffected.
• Open downloaded content: double-click completed or seeding task cards in either layout to open their content. Buttons and text selection retain their existing behavior.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Delete task files by their recorded paths and GID. Protect files referenced by other tasks, retain history when file deletion fails, and stop removing or hiding separate tasks solely because they share a torrent hash.
• Detect missing or inaccessible completed files through native filesystem monitoring, including while the main window is closed. Pause affected seeding tasks and request a BitTorrent recheck when they resume.
• Move download-start notifications into the native task lifecycle, covering silent browser submissions and respecting the notification switches. Metadata fetching no longer serves as the start-notification trigger.
• Restore recreated windows on the main event thread after plugin initialization, avoiding the lock-order conflict between lightweight mode and saved window state.
• Convert supported Windows IPv4 proxy-bypass patterns to CIDR and report unsupported imported rules. Disabled proxies no longer validate unused bypass entries; invalid active configurations direct users to Network settings.
• Distinguish a reachable desktop with an unavailable engine from a desktop that cannot be launched. Rayburst Connect 2.0.4 uses these responses to show engine-specific recovery actions.

🛠 Improvements

• Bundle Aria2 Next 2.8.2: prevent completed HTTP tasks returning after a crash, isolate duplicate-torrent errors, and safely restart eligible partial downloads when the remote resource changes.
• Soften the default purple palette and apply theme colors consistently to tables, detail labels, selectors, segmented controls, tooltips and status messages in both light and dark modes.
• Keep recently used save directories in most-recent-first order and update interface translations across all 27 supported languages.

📦 Downloads

Packages are attached by the release workflow. This is a prerelease and uses the beta update channel. Pair it with Rayburst Connect 2.0.4 for the new engine-status messages.
