Summary
Aria2 Next 2.7.1 fixes URL-encoded output filenames and improves slow-tail recovery for parallel HTTP downloads. CLI and RPC interfaces, dependency versions, and supported release platforms remain unchanged.
Fixed
Automatically selected HTTP, HTTPS, and SFTP filenames now decode the URL basename exactly once using libcurl. Unicode characters and encoded spaces become readable filenames, while literal plus signs and once-decoded percent sequences retain their meaning. Explicit --out values, metadata-defined paths, and request URLs remain unchanged. The same output-path logic is used when restoring paused stream downloads.
Idle connections can assist slow HTTP ranges by taking over an unfinished suffix while the original connection continues its assigned prefix. Recovery uses recent payload progress and response latency to avoid repeatedly restarting newly established transfers. Reassigned ranges preserve downloaded data and enforce their write boundaries.
Changed
Stream retry diagnostics now report the actual scheduled delay in milliseconds, including backoff. The CLI help and manual clarify that --retry-wait is a minimum delay and a longer server Retry-After takes precedence. A temporary zero-connection state while waiting to retry does not discard completed ranges.
Existing URL-encoded files are not renamed or migrated automatically. To continue using a previously encoded filename, specify that exact name with --out.

The release workflow attaches standalone executables and the checksum file to this release after the platform builds succeed.
