Breaking Changes
- BitTorrent sessions now identify as qBittorrent 5.2.3 by default. Integrators that require the previous aria2-next identity must explicitly set
bt-user-agentandbt-peer-id-prefix.
Summary
Aria2 Next 2.6.7 improves compatibility with trackers that enforce supported BitTorrent client identities. The release provides standalone binaries for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Android, together with SHA-256 checksums.
Added
- Added the global
bt-user-agentoption for the native libtorrent tracker and extension-handshake identity. - Added the global
bt-peer-id-prefixoption for the native libtorrent peer ID prefix. - Exposed both identity settings through CLI, configuration files, and global RPC options.
Changed
- The default BitTorrent identity now matches the stable qBittorrent 5.2.3 profile:
qBittorrent/5.2.3with peer ID prefix-qB5230-. - Peer extension handshakes use the native libtorrent fallback to the configured User-Agent, matching qBittorrent behavior.
- Removed unreferenced legacy test fixtures and low-value utility tests from the maintained test target.
