Breaking Changes

• Log levels are now trace, debug, info, warn, and error. The legacy notice level has been removed.
• Rotated logs now use spdlog naming such as aria2.1.log. Legacy rotation histories are removed during startup.

Summary

This release replaces the custom logging implementation with spdlog 1.17.0, enforces bounded log storage, adds independent multi-architecture container publishing, and restores Windows cross-build compatibility.

Added

• Added --log-max-size and --log-max-files for explicit per-file and total log retention limits.
• Added the independent Docker Publish workflow for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 images on GHCR.
• Added concise contribution guidance, issue forms, and pull request templates.

Changed

• Replaced the custom logger and rotation code with vendored spdlog 1.17.0.
• Standardized console and file logging on the spdlog level model.
• Container images now include CA certificates, a non-root runtime user, persistent directories, and a seeded RPC configuration.
• Windows x86_64 releases now select the MinGW-w64 POSIX thread model explicitly.

Fixed

• Oversized existing logs are truncated immediately and stale history is removed to enforce retention limits.
• Fixed MinGW and llvm-mingw compatibility with bundled fmt and spdlog.
• Removed obsolete release arguments for the required zlib dependency.
