Summary
This release tightens the maintained release packaging contract across Linux, macOS, and Windows. It reduces over-bundling, removes external network smoke checks from release validation, and keeps final binary dependency gates focused on reproducible standalone artifacts.
Changed
- Linux release binaries now use the system OpenSSL 3 runtime while keeping helper dependencies linked into the executable.
- Windows release binaries use WinTLS for HTTPS and WinCNG-backed libssh2 crypto, with OpenSSL DLL leakage rejected by the runtime dependency gate.
- Windows release linking now statically absorbs compiler runtimes so
libgcc_s_seh-1.dllandlibc++.dlldo not leak into release artifacts. - Release validation no longer runs real external URL dry-run checks.
Fixed
- Fixed Linux ARM64 runtime dependency validation for the platform ELF loader.
- Fixed Windows ARM64 llvm-mingw tool resolution for
arandranlib. - Fixed Windows ARM64 runtime dependency validation for the llvm-mingw UCRT API-set import.
Breaking Changes
- Removed legacy static-build and build-time CA bundle CMake options. TLS now uses the platform/system trust store or an explicit runtime
--ca-certificatepath.
