Summary
Aria2 Next 2.3.1 improves the engine defaults and torrent-link workflow for desktop integrations. File logging is now opt-in by default, remote .torrent URLs can start BitTorrent tasks directly, and maintained release builds include the updated logging dependency path.
Added
- Added
torrent-metadata=save|start|memoryfor remote.torrentURLs. The defaultstartmode downloads the metadata and starts the BitTorrent task, whilesavestores only the.torrentfile andmemorystarts from fetched metadata without saving it. - Added spdlog-backed rotating file logging with configurable
log-file,log-level,log-max-size, andlog-max-filesoptions.
Changed
- File logging now defaults to
log-file=off. Users and integrations can still enable it explicitly with--log-file=autoor a concrete path. - Updated help, manual, completion, and release dependency wiring for the new logging and torrent metadata behavior.
Fixed
- Fixed the dependency fetch helper so curl-style downloads honor the requested output path.
