What's Changed
aria2-next 2.0.0 establishes the project as a maintained CMake-only aria2 fork with modern dependency baselines, clearer repository ownership, and reproducible cross-platform release automation.
Build & Release
- Migrated the maintained build path to CMake with Ninja as the default generator.
- Added release packaging for Linux x86_64, Linux ARM64, macOS ARM64, macOS x86_64, Windows x86_64, and Windows ARM64.
- Split CI validation from release publishing so pushes validate the source tree, while GitHub Release publishing triggers release artifact uploads.
- Hardened release downloads with retry and error reporting.
- Updated package contents to use the maintained README.md.
Platform Fixes
- Hardened CMake feature probes for MinGW and Windows cross-compilation.
- Fixed Win32 API detection so Windows ARM64 builds do not enable unsupported POSIX daemon paths.
- Preserved correct Windows declarations for sparse-file and platform API checks.
Maintenance
- Added repository operating instructions for AI coding agents.
- Removed Dependabot automation to avoid noisy dependency PRs.
- Removed legacy packaging archives and clarified maintained packaging ownership.
- Updated maintenance documentation and issue review records.
Tests
- Added unit coverage for bundled wslay frame, queue, session, and stack behavior.
- Fixed the test harness so OpenSSL TLS tests are not terminated by SIGPIPE on Linux CI.
