This version of AdGuard VPN for Windows includes several welcome improvements.
Websites and Apps exclusions in one section
Previously, you could add apps to exclusions from the separate App exclusions tab in the Settings section. Now there are two tabs for websites and apps in the Exclusions section: it’s more convenient to manage them.
Selective mode for apps
If you go to Exclusions → Apps, you'll see the line VPN is on everywhere: except for the apps below – it means that AdGuard VPN is working in General mode. In the above line, the word "everywhere" along with the pencil icon is highlighted in green. By clicking it, you can change the mode to Selective to make the VPN work only for the apps added to the exclusions. Prior to this release, Selective mode was only available for websites.
A list of popular DNS servers
Last but not least, there is a change in the DNS servers section with a list of the most popular DNS servers. Previously it was only possible to add your own DNS server manually. Now it's easier — just select the DNS server you like from the list.
In addition to the major changes, we've updated the VPN client and fixed bugs. Download AdGuard VPN v2.1 for Windows, try the new features and let us know what you think.
