What's new in 3.3.0

JPEG XL support (#101)

• .jxl images open everywhere, even in browsers that can't show them on their own. The decoder only loads the first time you open one.
• The desktop app registers itself for .jxl files, and the folder's image list shows their thumbnails.

Mouse Back / Forward buttons (#105)

• The side buttons of your mouse move to the previous / next image of the folder (desktop app) or of the page gallery.

Desktop: several windows (#103)

• New window in the taskbar menu, or starting BetterViewer again, opens another window, to compare images side by side.
• Images opened with Open with go to the last window you used.

Fixes

• Desktop (Linux): opening About BetterViewer no longer crashes the app on Fedora and other systems whose emoji font WebKitGTK can't draw (#104).
• Desktop: no more flicker at startup while the window moves to where you left it (#106, thanks @SF-NX).
• Fit to screen fills the whole window; the toolbar and other controls float over the image instead of leaving a margin (#100, thanks @adhdandy).

No new permissions in this version.

The desktop installers aren't code-signed yet. On Windows, if SmartScreen warns, click More info → Run anyway. On macOS, allow the app once in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
