Test build. Stable stays beta_65.

Flash it at flasher.wadamesh.com (Beta toggle), or turn on "Get test builds (beta)" on the device and reboot.

If you are on beta_76, this is the one to take: it fixes two things beta_76 broke.

Two things beta_76 broke

A Lua app was covered by the app drawer whenever a message arrived. The app kept running underneath, but most of its screen vanished. Apps opened from the drawer deliberately leave it open behind them, and the badge refresh added in beta_76 rebuilt it on every change of the unread count, which put it back in front. Reported by Jade, reproduced by mysterywavi (#415). The same change was also resetting the drawer's scroll position on every message; fixed too.

On the ThinkNode M9, accented letters can now be selected. beta_76 made the picker appear on that board for the first time, but the arrow keys were taken by the text cursor before reaching it, so the letters were visible and unreachable. Reported by @DenRalle (#410).

New

Browser file transfer. Copy files on and off the card from a browser, protected by a six digit code shown on screen. Uploads are checksummed and committed atomically, so an interrupted transfer cannot leave a half written file, and three wrong codes lock attempts out for thirty seconds. On the boards with a removable card. By @oumike (#413, closes #400).

Advertise a position without advertising your address. Settings, GPS: exact, or displaced by up to 100 m, 250 m or 1 km. Only what you broadcast moves; your own map keeps the real fix. The displacement is the same every time rather than random per advert, which is the point: a fresh offset each time would scatter points around where you really are and averaging them would recover your true location. Requested by @Danie10 (#399).

Set the clock by hand. Settings, Clock, in local time. With no GPS, no network and no phone there was previously no way to set it at all, and message timestamps are built from it. Requested by @dreirund (#105).

ThinkNode M9

Control centre navigation, message actions and the unlock gesture, all by @oumike (#412, #407). Replying no longer needs a five second hold: Enter on a selected message does it, and unlocking is a double press of the d-pad centre. Requested by @Buko84 (#402).

The app drawer no longer jumps to the settings gear when moving up from the middle of the list (#405, #404).

The card could stop responding until a reboot. Opening Settings, About at the wrong moment could park the tile worker and the SD recovery path against each other, and nothing could then break the deadlock. Traced from the code by @cvhviz without being able to reproduce it, which was the right call: no user could have reported this usefully (#364).

Fixed

On the T-Display P4, a Lua app's first line is no longer cut in half by the status bar, and the drawer options fit the screen (#236, #238, @D-Melhede). Both were fixed pixel sizes in an interface whose text scales, so both also affected any board at Large or Huge text size, not only the P4. Sweeping for the same pattern found eight more panels, all now scaled.

Wio Tracker L2 wake and screen controls (#406, @oumike).

Download mode says what it is for and how to leave it. It waits for a USB flash with the interface stopped, which read as a freeze; the entry now says "wait for USB flash" and the message says RESET cancels. Reported by @dreirund (#104), who was right that a state you cannot leave without already knowing the way out is a bug even when the code is correct.

The theme chip keeps one icon in both states, matching Do Not Disturb: the chip's own fill shows whether it is on (#414).

For testers

If you were on beta_76 with a Lua app open, the drawer fix is the one to confirm.

Two things here are still not verified on hardware, both off by default and unchanged since beta_76: DS3231 clock module support, written from the datasheet with nobody having wired one up, and the louder chime, whose pitch has not been measured on an M9.

Still open and not fixed here: a map that renders nothing since beta_71 (#339), a screen that will not stay dark after a manual lock (#333), and the web flasher hanging at "wrapping up" on the T-Display P4 (#342).
