What's new
- Offline punctuation and capitalization for Russian and English —
. , ? ! : ;and capital letters appear automatically as you dictate. All other languages get basic sentence capitalization rules. - New setting on the Models page: Enable punctuation and capitalization (on by default, can be switched off to get raw transcripts as before).
- Punctuation models (~30–110 MB per language) download automatically on first run — no manual setup.
- About dialog: version, author, links and the new MIT license.
- Clipboard paste fix: works on any keyboard layout (no more
vvvinstead of pasting). - Project relicensed from GPLv3 to MIT.
Upgrading from an earlier version
If you already use Scribe with downloaded voice models, you do not need to re-download anything:
- Close Scribe completely (tray → Exit).
- Replace
Scribe.exewith the new one, keep yourmodelsfolder as is. - Start the program. On first launch it will automatically download only the small punctuation model for your language — your voice models stay untouched.
- No internet? It works anyway, with basic capitalization rules.
