📴Niagara Pro · Tap 2 Lock: https://medium.com/p/52a9fbed7cfd
You can tap two times on the alphabet to lock/turn off the screen (it also works on the left side on the phone). Has to be enabled through Niagara’s feature settings.
We did tons of tweaks and under the hood changes, here are some of them:
- Improved a couple of animations (e.g. try app search)
- Added the option to disable Niagara’s media widget (Settings > Features > Niagara Widget)
- Adjusted the size and positions of the icons on the alphabet slider
- Redesigned the custom/single icon selection dialog and added the option to ignore the current icon pack and use the icon provided by the app instead.
- The round icons option has been removed (because it didn’t work uniformly across devices). Instead, you can toggle the behaviour by entering
/round icons
into Niagara Launcher’s app search - Updated translations
Bugfixes:
- If you’re using outlook as your default calendar, it will open correctly when tapping on the date below the clock
- Touches next to the clock are being forwarded to live wallpaper apps again (like KLWP and Muzei) By the way, here’s a tutorial on how to integrate KLWP into Niagara: https://niagaralauncher.helpscoutdocs.com/article/59-klwp-integration
- Fixed a bug that prevented newly installed apps from showing up
- Custom fonts did not get applied to some parts of the homescreen
Weather:
Dark Sky, Niagara Launcher Pro’s weather provider, are shutting down their Android app very soon, but they’re committing to keeping the API (which we’re using) available until the end of 2021. Before that, we’ll switch to another weather provider (we can’t say which one yet), more here: https://niagaralauncher.helpscoutdocs.com/article/9-dark-sky-api-shutting-down
