AMDNR 0.3.5.3
Video : https://youtu.be/2nYC0gYM-1c
Neural Rendering looks like NVIDIA's by default, lmxxf is faster, Ray Regeneration gets AMDNR's own denoiser where AMD's has no provider, and AMDNR Screen-space GI by 3zwr1 is official.
- The NVIDIA look is the default on lmxxf: NVIDIA's default style with all 71 blocks, now with NVIDIA's own noise seed (about 1.4 dB closer to NVIDIA's picture at 1080p). Neural tab > NR style > AMDNR soft is one click back.
- Faster lmxxf: lmxxf 0.41 by Kien (MIT) runs by default on RX 9000, and lmxxf's history step now does its sums in whole numbers - about 2 ms less per frame at the 1080 size on an RX 9070 XT. Both give the same picture, bit for bit.
- Ray Regeneration: the AMDNR Ray Denoiser (preview) answers Ray Reconstruction on RX 7000 and the RDNA 3 / 3.5 APUs, and on RX 6000 as an opt-in. RX 9000 keeps AMD's denoiser, now with AMD's own values for five of its six settings and the reflection ray length exactly as the game sends it. Ray Reconstruction in Vulkan games is an opt-in (
[FSR-RR] RrVulkan=true). Ray Regeneration is still not clean everywhere: see Known limits in the changelog. - AMDNR Screen-space GI by 3zwr1 is official: its own section on the Neural tab, Low / Medium / High / Ultra (Auto per GPU), light that bounces much farther, and sunlit surfaces that keep their light under the AO. Off by default.
- Fixes: much less of lmxxf's dark trail behind a moving character in fog (Silent Hill 2), danielblnc 0.6.0's black screen, RX 6000's "Cannot load amdhip64_7.dll" (error 126), Red Dead Redemption 2 on Vulkan, The Witcher 3 with FSR frame generation, GTA V Enhanced with the Social Club overlay, and danielblnc's video memory that grew with every NR size change.
- Frame generation: Force Anti-Lag 2 for DirectX 11 / 12 games without Reflex (opt-in), and evenly spaced frames for XeSS frame generation at 3X and above.
- RX 6000: FSR 4 (INT8) is now the default upscaler;
[FSR] Fsr4ForceModel=0puts the old setup back. - AMDNR Launcher 0.3.5.7: go back to the previous launcher, "Scan for games at start" and "Update automatically" switches, the previous mod version per game, and many INSTALL / REPAIR / COLLECT LOGS fixes.
The Anywhere window's host package no longer carries NVIDIA files. It used to include NVIDIA's DLSS, RTX Video and CUDA runtimes from the fork author's own release; none of them can run on an AMD card, and AMDNR's host never loaded them. They are gone, every NVIDIA option of the host is off at build time, and the download is 387 MB smaller. The launcher removes the old files from the Anywhere window's folder when it lays out the new one.
Update: launcher users get it by themselves; by hand, drop the zip over 0.3.5.2.
Everything else - every change with its numbers and its way back, and the known limits - is in CHANGELOG.md (in the zip).
