API Updates

• bulk, count, delete, delete_by_query, explain, get, index, indices.validate_query, mget, msearch, mtermvectors, search, search_shards, termvectors, update, update_by_query: New Parameter :_slice. Routes requests to a specific index slice. Use _all to target all slices.
• cancel_reindex, get_reindex, list_reindex: Promoted from Technical Preview to stable and no longer behind the reindex_management_api feature flag.
• count: New Parameter :stats. Specifies request tags for logging and statistical purposes.
• esql.delete_view, esql.get_view, esql.put_view: No longer behind the esql_views feature flag. These APIs remain in Technical Preview.
• indices.validate_query: New Parameter :routing. Specifies a custom value used to route operations to a shard.
• inference.update: New Parameter :timeout. Specifies how long to wait for the inference endpoint update.
• search: Parameter :stats now accepts either a string or an array of strings.
• security.get_role: New Parameter :include_implicit. Includes implicitly granted privileges in the response.
• snapshot.repository_analyze: New Parameter :check_overwrite_protection. Controls whether to run the overwrite protection check.
• synonyms.get_synonym: New Parameter :search_after. Uses a synonym rule ID as the pagination cursor.
• synonyms.put_synonym: New Parameter :append. Appends rules to an existing synonyms set instead of replacing the complete set.
• transform.get_transform_stats: New Parameter :basic. Returns basic transform statistics while skipping expensive checkpoint calculations.
• transform.schedule_now_transform: New Parameter :defer. Defers scheduling by the transform's configured synchronization delay.

New APIs

• inference.delete_region_policy - Delete the inference region policy.
• inference.get_region_policy - Get the inference region policy.
• inference.put_region_policy - Create or update the inference region policy.

Available only in Stack, in Technical Preview:

• encryption.reset - Reset the project encryption key. Requires the :accept_data_loss parameter.
